I wonder how sailors managed to keep sweet water on the ships for several months.
It is well known how they controlled the diseases but how they preserved potable water if they had no possibility to refill it.
I think nobody washed bed linen and clothes during such long journeys.
What sailors for sure did not suffer from was hypodynamia.
The disease we all suffer now though it can be easily treated.
I would like to sail with one of such ships, crossing the Pacific Ocean when there were no engines, only the wind in sails!
