January.Ancient Iran. Here are some of my photos from Iran. You will not meet many American and European tourists here but will see many historical monuments. This is the ancient city Persepolis, burnt down by Alexander the Great in revenge for the repeated ravages in the Athenian Acropolis and for the numerous invasions of Persians to Greece.
